Privacy
NameCup helps you remember names, faces, context, and follow-ups. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
NameCup is built for private notes about the people you want to remember. We use your information to provide the app, protect your account, sync your saved people, and respond when you contact us.
We don't sell your personal information, saved people, notes, or memory cues. We also don't share your saved people with advertisers or data brokers, turn them into public profiles or searchable directories, or access your account content unless needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or support NameCup.
You choose what to save in NameCup. This may include names, photos, notes, memory cues, tags, contact details, social links, first-meeting details, conversation topics, and follow-ups.
You can edit or delete saved people and notes in the app.
We collect account information such as your email address so you can sign in, verify your account, reset your password, and receive account or support messages.
We also process service information such as session cookies, IP address, browser or device details, request logs, and security events so NameCup can run reliably and protect accounts from abuse.
We use information to provide and sync the NameCup app, save and display your people data, authenticate your account, send transactional emails, prevent abuse, improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, and respond to support or privacy requests.
We do not use your saved people, notes, or memory cues for advertising.
NameCup may rely on service providers for hosting, database storage, image storage and delivery, authentication, email delivery, security, logging, and monitoring.
These providers process information only as needed to operate, secure, and support NameCup. We do not share your saved people with advertisers or data brokers.
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect NameCup, including HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, access controls, and encrypted managed infrastructure for account-backed data and image storage.
No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep your information protected and private.
We keep your account information and saved people data while your account is active or as needed to provide NameCup.
If you delete saved people, notes, or your account, we remove or de-identify that information unless we need to retain limited records for security, legal, or operational reasons.
You can update or delete saved people and notes in the app. You can also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or help with account deletion.
For privacy requests, email [email protected] and include the email address you use for NameCup so we can identify the account.
NameCup is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to NameCup, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
We may update this policy as NameCup changes. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a new last-updated date.
